Today marks the final day of our High School Placement Test (HSPT) Prep sessions for current 8th grade students who have worked hard to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the high school entrance exams ahead. Since many high schools require applicants to take an entrance exam as part of the admissions process, having the right preparation and support can make a significant difference in a student’s success. Our HSPT Prep program gives students the opportunity to review important material, practice test-taking strategies, and feel more confident heading into their exams. The impact of this preparation is clear: CPS students who have taken our prep course in past years have scored an average of 25% higher on the HSPT than students who haven’t taken the prep course. We are proud to provide students with the resources and support they need to take this important next step in their education and pursue the high school opportunities ahead of them.
