Community partners are stepping up for Camden’s youth.

Earlier this year, The Joseph Fund announced the inaugural launch of the Summer Enrichment Program at the St. Joseph Child Development Center (SJCDC). Shortly after, members of the community reached out to offer their support including Republic Bank and BookSmiles. Republic Bank’s community-centric focus allows them to make an impact on their local communities.

For the 45 students enrolled in The Joseph Fund Summer Enrichment Program at the SJCDC, this means bags filled with essential school supplies to help them succeed in the classroom. Similarly, BookSmiles – a local non-profit dedicated to promoting literacy by providing students with new or gently-used books, generously dedicated a selection of books for the families enrolled in the program. Founder Larry Abrams believes high-quality education, especially reading, is the foundation of academic success. With this belief, Abrams works to ensure kids throughout the community have quality books to read.

With the generous support of Republic Bank and BookSmiles, Camden’s students not only have a safe and structured environment to continue to learn through the summer, but they’ll also have the supplies they need to continue their education outside of the classroom. Thank you for providing Camden’s with the supplies they need for a strong foundation of success.
