We’re partnering with the St. Joseph’s Child Development Center (CDC) and Catholic Partnership Schools (CPS) to bridge the education gap and prepare students for High School!

We’re excited to announce partnerships with the St. Joseph Child Development Center (CDC) and Catholic Partnership Schools (CPS) to bring students The Joseph Fund Summer Enrichment Program at the St. Joseph Child Development Center and The High School Placement Test Preparation (HSPT Preparation) at CPS. Both programs will provide Camden’s youth with an opportunity to further their education during the summer months.

The Joseph Fund Summer Enrichment Program at the St. Joseph Child Development Center will revive a program formally funded by the Department of Health (DOH). Unfortunately, due to budget cuts and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DOH was unable to fund the program this year. The program will take place during July and August and will provide 45 young Pre-K and kindergarten students with a safe, structured environment as they learn through hands-on experiences, socialization, and daily engagement with their peers.

In addition to the partnership with the St. Joseph CDC, We are also working with CPS to better prepare sixth- and seventh-grade students for the High School Placement Test. The HSPT Preparation program will cover the five sections of the exam: Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Mathematics, and Language.

Through the years, the St. Joseph Child Development Center has consistently operated at full capacity – serving as many of Camden’s youth as possible and providing a curriculum including language skills and computer skills, reading, math, art, and science. In addition, Catholic Partnership Schools – Saint Joseph’s Pro Cathedral has a 98% daily attendance rate with 100% of the students graduating and attending high school. Together, the St. Joseph CDC and CPS prove that structure in early childhood provides a strong foundation for students to succeed in higher education.
